Kansas City, MO | 2007

In 2006, el dorado teamed up with mk12 and Genesis Structures to design a new guardrail system for the Wyandotte Street bridge in downtown Kansas City. The design integrates a novel structural design featuring alternating panel styles of stainless steel mesh and plexiglass laser-etched with an abstract organic pattern. The installation is backlit during the evening, and is intended to engage pedestrians and serve as a connection between the Crossroads and downtown neighborhoods.
