For years, we were a dog-only firm. Those of us who shared our homes with non-dogs were considered “auschlanders”. We were tolerated, but never truly felt part of the pack.
Times have changed. Owners of non-canine companion animals are no longer openly mocked or emotionally abused. (Or made to clean out months-old guacamole from the fridge during our yearly pre-holiday party cleanup.) We are no longer seen as “detracting from the purity” of the dog-firsters. Dogs, cats, apes, rodents…all mammals are now enthusiastically welcome under the shelter of our eldo tent.
(No birds, or lizards, though.)
