The Vehicle Impound Facility consists of an 11,000 total square foot build-out, centrally located on a 30 acre site with storage for approximately 2,200 impounded vehicles. el dorado led a team of consultants to analyze and clarify existing operations to improve function. In response to the City of Kansas City’s mandate that all city-owned projects achieve LEED Silver status, an aggressive program of sustainable features was developed. The project, which atttained LEED Gold, includes careful siting, daylight control, high efficiency skin, enhanced stormwater treatment and native landscaping.
